Almost all my portraits I've done :) Put in time order from my first/oldes to my lates/newest.
From my first portrait ever in january 2011 to my lates that I finished now in august 2012.
I think it's funny to see the diffrent styles I used in the beginning when I wasn't quite sure what techniques to use. I think all the portraits in the first row look like they could have been done by totally diffrent artists. In the end especially the last three-four finally start to look like thay were made by the same person.
Here is a link to my deviantart page for all the individual pictures in greater quality.

Till Lindermann
New portrait! This one took me ages to comlete, more hours than I can count.
I usually post the wips of the picture as I progress but this was made as a gift to a very dear friend
of mine and I didn't want to ruin the surprise :)
Drawn on A3-drawing paper (297 x 420 mm) with graphite pencils.
For those of you that don't know Till Lindermann he is the lead singer in the band Rammstein.
If you don't know who Rammstein are, all I can tell you is that you're really missing out on epic music bro!
Since this one took so long and is drawn in 2-3 hour shifts I made many wips.
You can see quite clearly here how I build the picture from darkness to light.
Like with the hair I just paint over the whole area with diffrent shades of black and grey and then go over it with an eraser and bring forth individual hairs. There is even more texture in the skin and so on that I could have done but at my current skill-level this was the best I could manage.
Still hope you like it though!

The best movie trilogies
So in celebration of Christopher Nolans last batman movie completing his trilogy I felt like listing my favourite movie trilogies. This is going to be a personal list, completely for fun.
Some of you are going to agree and some may not but that's the charm of these lists I suppose :)
So without further ado here's number nine! (because I couldn't think of ten I liked :P)
9: Terminator.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as the time travelling killer robot is as iconic as it is badass.
One of the best action movie trilogies out there.
8: The naked gun.
Leslie Nielsen as lieutenant Frank Drebin is one of the best and funniest comedy movie trilogies out there to this date.
7: The Matrix.
The matrix trilogy is mainly so good because of the amounts of brainfucks combined with genre revolutionising visual effects and the steampunk badass-ery (is this even a word?)
"Badass" pretty much sums up this trilogy though.
6: Alien.
The alien trilogy is the OG (original gangster) of sci-fi horrors.
What more can I say?
5: Jurassic Park.
Jurassic Park was the movie that truly introduced computer generated effects to major motion pictures. It opened up a whole world to the viewers that thay had never seen like this.
I rewatched the trilogy recently and It's still as good as when it came out and it's not only because of the CGI (computer generated imagery) these movies are candy to the imagination.
4: Hannibal.
The hannibal movies are some of the best thriller/horror movies out there.
Espesially "silence of the lambs" which has become iconic.
3: Christopher Nolans batman trilogy.
Not much to say here that has not been said.
I did not like "batman begins" a whole lot to be frank but "the dark night" and "the dark night rises" are some of the best movies of all time and this is a trilogy to be recognized.
2: The Lord of the Rings.
Peter Jackson's trilogy from J.R.R Tolkien's classic books with the same name.
These are without doubt the best fantasy movies made, atlest in my mind.
1: Star Wars
And yes of course the original three ones.
I can watch these how many times I want and they'll never get dull.
It's incredible how they were made in the 1970's and are in my opinion more well made and estunnishing than most of the movies made today.
They have stayed popular since thay came and their popularity will probably never fade.

The Dark Night freakin rises!
Wow, just wow. The third part of Christopher Nolan's thrilogy "the dark night rises" lives up to it's hype. It's everything I had hoped it would be; dark, gruesome, intense and grand.
Looking back at the old batman movies of the nineties with Michael Keaton, George Clooney and Val Kilmer as batman (as the last time batman was made into a thrilogy, more or less...) It's easy to understand why those were so bad and these new so good.
These movies are more down to earth and easy to relate to than ever with the focus on suspense and agony rather than the over the top corny and clownish style the old thrilogy represented.
Beeing a true movie junkie like I am, I've seen a lot and have quite some movies to compare to.
Christopher Nolan can truly be considered one of the greates directors of all time, along with names like James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott and so on.
Believe me when I say I have never been a big Batman fan growing up, I was all about spiderman and the marvel heroes over all.
Seeing "the dark night" and "the dark night rises" just fills me with joy, even though I'm not a batman fan I just think these movies are everything a super hero movies should be.
(don't watch this it's a disaster, unless you're only after shits and giggles...)
I still think superman is the corniest and most boring super hero though.
"superman returns" and "watchmen" are in my opinion the worst super hero movies made until this date. Shame on you DC comics for those.
There is a new superman movie coming out in 2013 called "man of steel"
which is beeing directed by one of my all time favourite directors - Zack Snyder, the man behind visual masterpieces like 300 and sucker punch (note that I only said visual masterpieces) in writing and mediating stories he's still a bit behind the greatest.
My only worry is that he directed Watchmen too and now he's making another DC super hero movie.
Ok I got off track there as usual. As a conclusion I want to say that "the dark night rises" is most likely going to be the best movie this year. Go see it you won't regret it, that much I can assure you.
